Product Approach
Celling Biosciences ART PRP products are engineered to effectively and efficiently concentrate platelets and growth factors from whole blood. The design allows a user to select the desired layer of the centrifuged stack in a controlled manner.
In order to prepare PRP, blood is taken from the patient and isolated to produce the PRP through a separating process in a machine called a centrifuge. The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes. The result is a "stack" with red blood cells on the bottom, a "buffy coat" on top of the red blood cells and a clear plasma layer on top. Our product is the only device in the world that has an integrated filter, which allows your physician to capture important parts of your blood that other systems miss. Our device also allows for precise deconstruction of the stack, for a more tailored treatment plan.
What is PRP?
The body has an amazing capacity to heal itself. When the body becomes injured, a natural healing process occurs to repair the damaged tissue. The body signals platelets and other components in our blood supply to migrate to the site of injury to initiate and promote healing. PRP injections allow us to harness and concentrate these platelets to be precisely placed at the injury site in an injectable form. When PRP is injected into the damaged area, the platelets release biomolecules that stimulate the cells in injured tissue, along with local mild inflammation, all of which supports the body's natural healing cascade.
Why PRP?
- Natural and organic; from your own body.
- Get back to doing what you love, quickly!
- Non-invasive, just a simple blood draw.
- Widely available to most patients.
- Quick procedure time.
ART PRP Plus
ART PRP Plus System: The ART 2-Step™ System processes autologous whole blood effectively and efficiently at the point-of-care. This system recovers the greatest percentage of platelets by allowing selection of the platelet concentrate from user-defined portions of the centrifuged stack.
- ART PRP Plus System Features:
- Nearly closed systems offer multiple connection ports
- Thumb-wheel allows precise recovery of the targeted cell layer
- Large aperture collection window
- Manual collection accommodates full spectrum of hematocrit levels
- Adjustable flow valve diverts fluid without additional sterile breaks
- Adjustable flow valve simplifies separation/combining of cells and proteins
- ART PRP TM Plus concentrates platelet poor plasma (PPP) using nanoporous fibers
- ART PRP TM Plus reduces 60 mL whole blood to 25-30 mL of PPP and nano-filtration further concentrates to 3-5 mL concentrated PPP
- ART PRP Plus System Benefits:
- Minimizes sterile breaks where contamination occurs
- Easy separation of fluid fractions (e.g. PRP, PPP); Processes anywhere from 50 cc up to 60 cc of whole blood
- Eliminates turbulence reducing cell velocity that can lyse cells• Increases cell recovery rates; other fully automated designs compromise recovery rate
- Keeps Buffy Coat in the collection zone yielding 3 cc to 5 cc on average of PRP (Buffy Coat) from a typical 60 cc volume of whole blood
- Manual manipulation is the critical feature that produces optimal recovery and a customized final product
- Provides for the highest concentration so that more cells can be delivered in a smaller volume

- Reduces 45-60 ml whole blood to 15-30 ml of PPP
- Flexible volume of whole blood, 45-60 ml
- Universal centrifuge system as for other Celling concentration devices
- ART 2-Step System Benefits:
- Minimizes sterile breaks where contamination occurs
- Easy separation of fluid fractions (PRP, PPP)
- Processes anywhere from 45 cc up to 60 cc of whole blood
- Eliminates turbulence reducing cell velocity that can lyse cells
